ANN NICHOLSON, artist
My work ranges from ceramics, painting, drawing, fibres (silk), to photography, and my style varies from traditional to abstract with a strong emphasis on colour and design. I have studied ceramics, art, fabric design and photography both in Australia and in the USA.
My studio is in Yass, about 40 minutes from Canberra and 15 minutes from the cool climate wineries of Murrumbateman. Our rural property is on the top of a hill just off Yass Valley Way with great views.
Visitors to the studio are welcome to say hello to our 6 resident “lawn mower alpacas”and to wander around the gardens. We have over 500 pine trees, over 40 rose bushes, and well over that number of fruit trees, plus an amazing collection of birds, including a family of 18 semi tame wild cockatoos, and “visitors” including little eagles and an echidna.
